Coping with Airport Lounges

Jul-5-2009 By admin

airport loungesSometimes the worst part of the trip is the airport lounge, where you may have to wait for hours in busy, uncomfortable departure lounges for your flights, so here are a few tips to help make your time at the airport much more productive and enjoyable:

  • Facilities – many of the larger airports have a vast range of facilities on offer, from shops and restaurants through to gyms, spas and beauty salons.  Once you have checked in your luggage spend some time exploring the airport, and take advantage of any services it has to offer, including the business lounges which are often available for a small additional fee and allow you to surf the internet, make phone calls and faxes and often have a number of free national and international newspapers and magazines.
  • Crèche Services – if you are travelling with young children is can be a good idea to book them into an airport crèche service, which will have lots of things to keep them entertained from toys through to group story times.  This can make your stay at the airport much more enjoyable for both parents and children.
