The rule used to be if you could book your flight as late as possible it would be much cheaper than if you were to book in advance, as carriers would be keen to fill up any remaining seats, but these days things have changed and you can now get some very good flights with the lower cost airlines whenever you choose to book your holiday.

Yes you can still get some great late flight deals, but you will need to be very flexible with what time you can travel and from which airport. Charter airlines will usually have a number of seats left to a variety of destinations, however with the low cost airlines tickets are usually in high demand, so they will normally actually increase in price as it gets nearer to the flight date

When is it Best to Book Early?

Booking early is best for those people who have family and work commitments and also if you are travelling in large groups as it can be difficult to secure a large number of seats on a last minute booking.
